Collaborators · 22 November 05 by Jesse Crossen

We are getting some encouraging responses from key innovators in the prosthetics field!

Jorge Silva and Tom Chau of the PRISM Lab, who have successfully tested a self-contained electronic arm controlled by muscle sounds, are interested in collaborating with us. This device has the potential to be revolutionary, since it allows an electronic arm to be used with a more comfortable silicone suspension sock. We are hoping to make their arm concept manufacturable, reliable and cheap.

Lawrence Carlson and Dan Frey, designers of the clever and practical vector prehensor, have generously agreed to let us publish their designs on this website. We are excited to see such a great product become available for use. Look for CAD files, etc. in the next few months.
